What a wonderful site! Thank you for such encouragement. My grandmother was such a bird lover, especially the hummingbirds. Unfortunately, she probably is not in Heaven after the many conversations I had with her over the years. I love how the Lord reminds us every day of His care for us through His creation and especially the birds. I remember being especially discouraged one day last year. I had just gotten home from work and sat there in the car for a few seconds talking to the Lord about it. All of a sudden birds of every description begin appearing all over my lawn. I saw the jays and thought of how they bully the other birds and God reminded me that we are safe in His care from our Adversary. I saw a crow, and was reminded of Elijah and how the ravens fed him by the brook Cherith when he was discouraged by Jezebel. When I see the dove, I think of His blessed Holy Spirit who comforts us in times of trial and affliction. "God Will Take Care of You" is one of my favorite hymns. I sang this at church a few months after I finished my chemo and radiation treatments for breast cancer back in 2005/06. I'm thankful for the many lessons God has taught me through that time and up to the present time.
