Apocrypha— 2 Esdras 10:59 – 2 Esdras 12:25 speaks of an eagle with 12 wings & 3 heads as part of prophecy for the end times. Do you have any ideas about this? The US symbol has only 2 wings & 1 head; for other eagle logos/seals/emblems, I can find only 2-winged, 2-headed birds. Just very curious!

Great work. I am a raptors fanatic and slowly compiling photos which I aim to use to make a book on raptors with scriptural quotes. So far I’m up to 65 species from Africa, Australia and North America. Wish me luck!

Good thoughts, but the Bald Eagle is a North American bird???
The eagles of Israel were not Bald Eagles.
Perhaps although a legend it was known.
