List of ORDERS of the Birds in Taxonomic Order
The ORDERs here are based on the I.O.C., 3.3 version of 2013. It lists 40 Orders, 231 Families (plus 6 Incertae Sedis), and 10,476 individual Species in 2,268 Genera. There are 20,9992 subspecies and 145 extinct species now listed.
All the Indexes are now up to date and it makes it easier to find them with the Alphabetical List of the Birds. (The use of your “Search” or “Find” on your browser is very useful on long lists. “Control + F” is the shortcut for Find. I use it quite frequently.)

Whoa!! This is way too complicated for me! But I’m glad you’re motivated to do it. Other birders will be glad you did!
It will make more sense after I get some more of it done. You have to admit, those birdies have been busy.
