This was one of my Mom’s favorite hymns and it means a lot to me even today. Thanks for sharing the words and the wonderful accompanying images of the different kinds of sparrows.
I posted a photo of a White-throated sparrow on Facebook last week and my pastor reminded me of the words from Matthew 10: “Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.”
