  1. Today I enjoyed viewing 19 Cedar Waxwings, all perched (gregariously, of course) in the thin branches of a tree next to the window of my study, at my home in Denton County, Texas. Likely my yard is just a migratory stopover for them — they probably won’t be there by tomorrow (or Monday at the latest). Seems like I see them as they pass through, either in spring or in autumn. It was nice to use my new binoculars (compliments of Laird Bill) to see them, today.

  2. Always enjoy your blog. I finally got my first “bird” book completed, a devotional – “Birds of the Kingdom” and can be found at Amazon, Kindle, etc. Formulating ideas for the second one using the birds’ colors and their patterns. I continue to photograph the birds and trek the many wildlife refuges. Trying for a new 500 lens for my Nikon but haven’t convinced the boss man (lol). Keep on birding and blogging, Lee.
