A call to prayer! In the above verse, as well as earlier in the chapter, the Lord Jesus admonishes us to NOT give up, but keep praying. We Americans want everything to be resolved QUICKLY but God’s purposes often take a lot more time. In verse nine Jesus said not to be terrified about things; God is still at work, the end does not follow immediately. Therefore let us KEEP PRAYING for our nation, for justice, for people of all races to be treated as having value in God’s sight, and pray for righteousness in all branches of government. If we don’t pray for our leaders, who will?

Thank you so much for what you reminded us of the reminder that “God is still at work.” Some times we wonder. Prayer and watchfulness are very important.
