Thought I would continue with the challenge to another Cinquain. See: Eagle Cinquain
Especially since a friend in South Carolina tried the challenge and sent this Cinquain:
Covid
Scary, deadly
Disruptive, threatening
God is in control of Covid.
Full Peace
Here is my second attempt at writing a Cinquain:
Song Bird
Making Music
Happy and Contented
Sweetly Singing In The Pine Tree
Peaceful
“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” (John 14:27 KJV)
Song Bird
Making Music
Happy and Contented
Sweetly Singing In The Pine Tree
Peaceful
I still think these look like trees, Sandra Connor. See her challenges at:
Sandra Connor’s Three Day Cinquain Challenge
Trust you are enjoying these Cinquains. Why not send me your attempt, or post them on your blog and send a link to Sandra Connor’s blog and leave a comment here.
You’ve really got the hang of it. I bet you’ll find that you want to write more. And it’s fine to stick with birds. After all, there’s an old maxim that teachers always tell would-be writers —– “Write what you know.”

Thanks, Sandra. I think you have opened a “can of worms.” The birds love worms. :)

Nice cinquain.
I enjoy your songbird pictures, especially the american yellow warbler singing. It seems a prefect image of joyfully singing praise to our Savior.

Hey Lee, since you wrote above, about COVID, that reminded me of CORVID, a proper topic for this blogsite. So this is a “CORVID” cinquain:
Corvids
Crows, ravens, jays
Some brought Elijah food
After the Flood one left Noah
Corvids

Hey, Lee, cinquains are fun!
Here’s one on the TURQUOISE-BROWED MOTMOT:
Motmot
Yucatan bird
Turquoise-browed passerine
With pipe-cleaner painter’s-brush tail
Motmot.

Very nice job. I agree that cinquain is fun. I enjoyed it so much the first time I wrote that form a few years ago that I found myself writing cinquain about almost every subject under the sun and eventually published a whole book of them, with enough for volume 2 if I ever get around to it. :)
