  1. I am wondering if you considered that the Lord was wrong when he had the bat classified as a bird? As I read my bible, the bat is in the list, and it is not a mistranslation nor an italizied word. As a saved man, and a bible believer, I take the bible (KJB) wording as the final authority which determins what ANY SAVED person should hold as truth and fact.

    • Yes, Bill, I have considered that, but I also know that God’s Word is true. Look at the passage.
      Lev 11:19 And the stork, the heron after her kind, and the lapwing, and the bat.
      Lev 11:20 All fowls that creep, going upon all four, shall be an abomination unto you.
      Lev 11:21 Yet these may ye eat of every flying creeping thing that goeth upon all four, which have legs above their feet, to leap withal upon the earth;

      As you know, man made the chapter and verse divisions. After listing the birds (which have wings) that were unclean, “and the bat” then goes right into more winged insects. I do not think that God, the Creator of all the critters, did not know the difference between a bird and a bat.
      Unsaved man will look for any excuse to not believe God’s Word, but this is not one of them. They may try to mis-read it, but that is their choice. Don’t let them mislead you.

    • As for your remark, “As a saved man, and a bible believer, I take the bible (KJB) wording as the final authority which determines what ANY SAVED person should hold as truth and fact.”
      I am sorry that you only believe that the KJV is the only Bible. I am not going to argue with you about it. I use it as my main Bible, but not the only one. God’s Word is the final authority and not a translation. He promised to preserve His word and He has. If you were born before 1611, which I doubt you read that version, what would be your “final authority”? Do you not take the Greek and Hebrew also into account?
      “And the Storke, the Heron after her kinde, and the Lapwing, and the Batte. All foules that creepe, going vpon all foure, shalbe an abomination vnto you. Yet these may ye eat, of euery flying creeping thing that goeth vpon all foure, which haue legges aboue their feet, to leape withall vpon the earth.” (Leviticus 11:19-21 KJV-1611)
