I have just come across nesting cinnamon bitterns in reed beds near my house in Jabalpur. These birds have become rare in JBP in India. You rarely see them or see them flying as we used whence we where small. This is for information for those interested in Indian Birds.

Dear Mr. Lee,
I work for Ashoka Trust for Research in Ecology and the Environment (ATREE), a conservation NGO in India. We would like to use Phil Kwong’s picture of the bittern for one our conservation endeavor. I would appreciate if you can give his email id so that I can request him to contribute the image.
Thanks & Regards,
Allwin Jesudasan
