There shall the great owl make her nest, and lay, and hatch, and gather under her shadow: there shall the vultures also be gathered, every one with her mate. (Isaiah 34:15)

I’m doing a chapter on the Turkey Vulture and trying to develop the subject of being judgmental with this bird. I think most of us think of the vulture as this ugly bird just eating on dead, stinky carcasses. I captured a pic of one flying and it is beautiful. I learned the usefulness of the featherless head. The more I study the bird, the more useful I see it is to our eco-system. What we learn if we but take a moment to study the subject.

They serve a very useful part in nature. I like to think of them as the Lord’s clean-up crew.

We will be getting turkey vultures for our Aquarium and would like permission to use your (1 by Mike Bader & the two by Ian) photograph in our upcoming newsletter “Waterlines”.
We are a nonprofit organization and cannot pay, but will give credit to the photographer, and copies of “Waterlines”.
If you agree, we would need high resolution images to place in our article.
