And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore. (1 Kings 4:29 KJV)
Honeymoon Island State Park is in Dunedin, Florida on the Gulf coast. visitors can drive across Dunedin Causeway to enjoy the sun-drenched Gulf beaches, mangrove swamps, and tidal flats. Nature lovers will find osprey nests, a wide variety of shorebirds, and one of the few remaining virgin slash pine forests in South Florida. The park boasts several nature trails and bird observation areas.
Their Bird Checklist has well over 260 birds listed. We visited in the summer when few birds are present. We are looking forward to visiting in the cooler weather. It is a very beautiful park.
