Birds of the Bible – Review

But now ask the beasts, and they will teach you; And the birds of the air, and they will tell you; Or speak to the earth, and it will teach you; And the fish of the sea will explain to you. Who among all these does not know That the hand of the LORD has done this, In whose hand is the life of every living thing, And the breath of all mankind? (Job 12:7-10 NKJV)
Since February, the different birds of the Bible were presented in random order. Here is a list of those birds, with their links, in alphabetical order. Hope this helps you find a particular bird easier. If this is being used as a review, try to visualize the bird before you click on the link. (Always the teacher)

  1. HI Lee – great site. I noted a list of species for which you need pics or illustrations. I have had the privilege of helping to create a new book titles ‘The World’s Rarest Birds’ which incorporated an international photographic competition to find shots of many species which had not been captured before. Where there were no photos available, incredible artwork was created by Tomasz Cofta. A quick look found at least some of your list included.I didn’t go through too much of it so I am sure there will others. I don’t know if you have come across the book yet? It might prove possible to get access to those you need for your site?
Keen to get leaders of nations to take an interest in the state of near-extinct species in their countries, I arranged a free copy for all Prime Ministers and Presidents in the hope that at least some of them would do something to reverse the trends which threaten these amazing parts of God’s creation.

    • Thanks, Brian, for the information. Do you have access to any of those photos that you would have permission to use? Or do you have an email address that I might use to contact the right person for permission?
