DINOSAUR-TO-BIRD EVOLUTION CHALLENGED

“For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.” (Psalm 1:6)

Most evolutionists today hold to the belief that modern-day birds evolved from dinosaurs. In fact, they now feel that large, carnivorous theropods like T. Rex rapidly shrank over a period of 50 million years until they evolved into our fine feathered friends.

An image drawn in 1915 by naturalist William Beebe suggests a hypothetical view of what early birds may have looked like. But not all evolutionists agree with this belief. Some, in fact, claim that birds evolved into dinosaurs. A study published in PNAS, the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, provides evidence that birds did not descend from ground-dwelling theropod dinosaurs.

According to Oregon State University zoology professor John Ruben, the research was well done and consistent with a string of studies in recent years that pose an increasing challenge to the birds-from-dinosaurs theory. The weight of the evidence, he added, is now suggesting that not only did birds not descend from dinosaurs, but that some species now believed to be dinosaurs may have descended from birds.

Professor Ruben’s most revealing comment, however, was that the old dinosaurs-to-birds theories, instead of carefully interpreting the data, had public appeal, and that “many people saw what they wanted to see.”

How true for scientists on both sides of this issue! When scientists start with the assumption that evolution is true, then every bit of evidence they uncover will support evolution. They don’t even consider a third option – that God made the birds on the fifth day of Creation Week and the land-dwelling dinosaurs on the sixth day.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, while people say that the Bible is not a science textbook, Your book does provide factual information that scientists would be wise to take into consideration. Open their eyes, I pray. Amen.

Lee’s Addition:

While at the Desert Museum recently, I took these pictures of this “Dinosaur to Bird’ display on one of their walls. It is seen more and more at zoos and museums, especially near the bird exhibits. Their exhibit started with the critters in the water, then fish type, getting out of the water, etc. until you have the dinosaur turning into a bird.

God’s Word – The Bible states “All flesh is not the same flesh, but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of animals, another of fish, and another of birds.” (1 Cor 15:39)

  1. you cannot reason with staunch believers, I have posted before that birds are warm blooded, four chambered hearts, and feathers are like, airy, an zipped, while dinos are cold blood three chamberd hearts, and scales were smooth or hard and flat, dinos were slow moving, heavy bodied and birds were fast, light bodied, how they managed to connect one to another is beyond me. in fact this required some active imagination to do so. they tried this sequence thing with the horse too but that has proven false, they tried to pretend to have a full body ape/man but it has proven to be a hoax. that little animal that supposedly evolve into a horse is still around today if evolution says that animals change and the fit survive and unfit do not, how come the litle eohippus is still around surly if it was good enough to survive to to day why bother to evolve then into a horse?we have to remember where these things come from, satan is desperate his time is short and he is bent on corrupting everyone he can, evolution is his creation. his motive? turn people from God before he is abyssed to prove his charge he can turn everyone away from God or at least divide their devotion or make them believe they are serving God when they are not.

  2. An interesting piece, Lee. And every time I hear or read any part of these evolutionary theories, I just want to laugh out loud. The idea that anyone with normal brain development could honestly believe that stuff is truly funny all by itself. But then when I think how big a fool all these so called “experts” are going to feel when they finally meet the real Creator face to face, it gets funny beyond measure.

  3. Even from a philosophical approach if the Creationist and Evolutionist both hold to their beliefs, at the end of the day as a scientist (which I am) the quest is to see which model best fits the ‘scientific’ evidence (ie. that can be observed and tested). The reason why many atheist scientists have become Christians is because the evidence is undeniable, the best model that fits is Creation. It takes a ridiculous amount of faith without any science at all to comprehend let alone explain the evolution theory. Darwin himself recognized he never had the evidence to conclude it before he died, yet there are proponents to day saying they have proved it. Romans Chapter One again shows us the ridiculous lengths people will go to have a Godless world, so that they remain unaccountable, the most denied being the Noahic Flood, and judgement on sin.
