In spite of being in prison, Paul kept on encouraging others to serve the Lord.

I don’t know about you, but I would rather have the Lord God as my jailer than to have Sin be. For He is full of grace and mercy and takes cares of those who are under His charge. Sin on the other hand is self-serving and seeks only to ruin us.

Bingo! When the apostle Paul was a prisoner for Christ he had much more real freedom than his unbelieving jailers did. In Philippi there was one jailer who wisely realized that — as Acts 16:31 shows.
