“And before I had done speaking in mine heart, behold, Rebekah came forth with her pitcher on her shoulder; and she went down unto the well, and drew water: and I said unto her, Let me drink, I pray thee.” (Genesis 24:45)

  1. Good thought, Stephen. And, since I know (from your website) that you appreciate eschatological insights, it’s worth remembering that the unnamed servant obtained a bride for his master’s son, and that bride (Rebekah) agreed to be married to the son “sight unseen” (i.e., by faith, believing the good report given by the unnamed servant), and the day soon came when she met her husband-to-be, face to face, and they were wed (compare Revelation 19:9).
