  1. Was just thinking about a weather map that showed the “eye” of the hurricane — now I understand the old popular song lyrics (from the prior century) that said “and Windy has stormy eyes. . . .” (Okay, maybe that doesn’t really fit the song, but I did think of that word-play.) Seriously though, God has promised to get us through the multifarious (and sometimes furious) storms of life, either by detouring us to circumvent trouble — or else giving us sufficient grace to withstand the trouble — and sometime it’s a sequence of both (1st Corinthians 10:13).

    • So very true. This time the Lord let us start through the situation, then, He thankfully turned the storm ever so slightly, and greatly eased our situation. Praise the Lord.
For the Haitians, I trust He provides sufficient grace for them. We, our church, already had a medical team scheduled to go down there soon. Now, they are really needed. What timing!
