Like the psalmist, “I have been young, and now am old” — by God’s grace it has been a wonderful life, full of opportunities to see and appreciate and experience God’s glory, providence, patience, and kindness. And enjoying many of the world-full of birds has been one of the richest privileges of my 6-plus decades.
