This year we were privileged to see a small flock of Black-bellied Whistling Ducks land by our home. As we are constantly being reminded to “social distance” ourselves, I think someone must have informed this flock of Ducks.
This is the way you normally see them:
“All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats.” (Matthew 25:32 NKJV)
Also, we have been told to wear mask, but this recent visiter, a Loggerhead Shrike seems to have the mask a little too high.
“Help me understand Your instruction, and I will obey it and follow it with all my heart.” (Psalms 119:34 HCSB)
Stay safe as we journey through this trying time.
Glad to see that you are all doing your own “backyard birdwatching”. Lately we are seeing doves, blue jays, and red-tailed hawks.

What a blessing to have a few interesting birds turn up at home. The Lord is making sure you do not miss out even under Covid restrictions. The Miners prevent that happening in our yard most of the time as their aggressive behaviour, and coalition mobbing, drives all non Miner approved birds away.

Your Minors seem to not be following the rules if they are “mobbing” :) Yes, it is interesting at times. 3 Wood Storks walked by at the edge of our water a day or so ago.

Keep an eye out for Pine Siskins! I’ve been seeing observations of big groups post in the Carolinas the last few weeks and now some in Georgia. Maybe they’re headed your way!

Not sure I have seen any Pine Siskins in this area before. In fact, not sure when I last saw one. Thanks, I’ll keep my eyes open and my camera handy.
