Lee's Birdwatching Adventures Plus 
Purple Gallinules have an iridescent plumage that is about as rich as it gets, albeit not as spectacular as peafowl. Their shape and mobility are a bit entertaining (almost comical, actually — but I’ll resist the urge to insert some fowl humor here), but their shiny purple-navy-indigo feather-coat (like lapis lazuli gems) is truly luxurious.
