I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety. (Psalms 4:8 KJV)

Mute Swan – Riding in Safety

*

Only one person commented about whether I should continue these or not, but over 30 of you liked the last one I did. So, this will continue for a little bit longer. At least a week or two. I really enjoy doing them, and trust you are enjoying them.

Guess this can no longer be called Sandra’s New Kooky Challenge, since her challenge is finished. In fact, she was the one encouraging me to continue. I have now challenged her to do some like these, but she doesn’t have to use birds. Scripture, yes, birds, no. Any of you other bloggers like to try your hand at this? Maybe you are into flowers, butterflies, or donkeys, or whatever, for all I know.

If you come up with a name for this series, let me know. I am open to suggestions.

Have a blessed day as you continue reading your emails and blogs.

The unnamed Challenge – Any Suggestions?

  1. The swan is beautiful & esp. her babies safe in her wings. Reminds me of scripture wher God says His sngels keeps us safe under His wings. Toni

    • I like your idea and had thought about having a naming contest. Are you suggesting calling each day “Word for the Weekday – date”? It would have to have separate dates so they don’t consider them duplicates. If that were the case, would you have me continue with a set # of words like I am doing? eg. 1 on Mon, 2 on Tue, etc? I am open to suggestions. This blog is not carved in stone. :)

  3. I don’t know where you had asked for people’s opinions; I don’t get on the computer & read every single day, I don’t have time many mornings to read after I do my own devotions. However, I LOVE these “bird watching adventures” with the devotional. I love that they are short, sweet, to the point, and that you post beautiful pictures of God’s creation. If I were to choose something like this to do, I think I would choose some sort of scenery; beauty in the nature that God created. Maybe I will give it a go someday-for now, I need to focus on the devotions I’m currently on. I do hope you continue.
