  1. As you know well, Lee, there is always something new to learn when it comes to BIRDS! Hummingbirds are no exception — for example, within the last month I was studying hummingbird beaks, and admiring how God designed and constructed those needlelike beaks with capacity to bend! Also, the nectar that hummingbirds access (from flowers) is not being sucked into the hummingbird’s mouth; rather, the nectar flows into the hungry bird (into the beak) via capillary action (like water soaking up into a paper towel) — amazing! Here is just one link, that gives extra information on the fascinatingly unique design that God has given unto these hyperactive hummers: http://projectbeak.org/adaptations/beaks_sipping.htm
