  1. You know, this scripture is the one that causes more unsaved people to stumble that almost any other. I have the hardest time trying to get unsaved (particularly those who live “basically moral” lives) people to comprehend that the guy who told one lie is just as incapable of being one with a holy God as the guy who killed ten people. They look at each individual act separately rather than the whole sin nature that is what makes us unholy to begin with. They’re offended at the thought that God doesn’t consider them worthy of eternity with Him since they haven’t committed some “big” sin –and even more offended at the thought that God will forgive and cleanse the most vile sinner as quickly and as gladly as He will forgive and cleanse them of their “little” sins. It’s that human cockiness that makes a man want to be able to make himself good enough all by himself. But personally — I’m just sooooo glad I don’t have to do it myself. Thank you, God, for Jesus!!!!

    • Until a person realizes they ARE a sinner, they will never really accept the free gift of salvation. We are born sinners. The Lord Jesus has provided the ultimate sacrifice for their sins, but each individual has to repent of their sins and accept it. Prauise the Lord for providing His Wonderful Salvation.
