You have seen many articles of our birdwatching adventures to Lowry Park Zoo in Tampa, Florida. There are quite a few YouTube videos of the Zoo. Among some photos from our adventures, I wanted to share a few their videos. It starts off showing the Parrot Flyover with Macaws. Later in the video there are some baby Turacos. There are other animals shown.

“Behold now behemoth, which I made with thee” (Job 40:15)

Since evolutionary “scientist” believe that birds evolved from dinosaurs, I thought I would introduce you to a few articles and a video about the tracks the Dinosaurs left behind.

Dinosaur tracks can be found on every continent! But just how did they form?

Here are a few of the many articles about Dinosaurs from the Institute for Creation Research. I will cover the Dinosaur-to-Bird issue in another article.

Birds Legs Says No Evolution – Creation Moments

Birds’ Unique Leg Structure Says No Evolution – From Creation Moments

“And God created … every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.” (Genesis 1:21)

Countless television programs, museums, textbooks, and popular articles tell us that the birds evolved from dinosaurs. It now appears that this claim is even less credible!

Birds' Unique Leg Structure Says No Evolution

Researchers at Oregon State University have made a fundamental discovery about how birds breathe. Unlike land animals, birds have immovable thigh bones, and they walk and run by bending their knees. All land creatures can move both their thigh bone as well as bend their knees to walk and run. This included the dinosaurs and other theropods from which birds supposedly evolved.

Birds need twenty times as much oxygen as cold-blooded animals. To supply this need, birds are designed with unique lungs and supporting musculature. Researchers found that if birds had the usual muscle structures and could move their thighs, their high-performance lungs would collapse. Even the evolutionists at Oregon State University said that this makes it unlikely that birds evolved from dinosaurs, and they added that birds appear earlier in the fossil record than the theropods from which they supposedly evolved!

There are other transition problems associated with bird evolution that are seldom mentioned. For example, reptiles are cold-blooded and birds are warm-blooded; yet, this major transition has seemingly been overlooked.

Of course, the Bible has always taught that birds were specially made by God and did not evolve from any other creature.

Prayer:
Lord, You have designed all things well. Do not let Your people be fooled by those who deny Your works. Amen.

Yesterday, we saw this Goose at Lake Morton in Lakeland, Florida. Looks like it has a nice stride, but not sure it would want to be one of these Belgium parading Geese. Then again, what do I know what that bird would like to do.

Enjoy the Geese Parades from Belgium.

Creation Moment’s – Great Travelers Have Great Stories To Tell

Bar-tailed Godwit (Limosa lapponica) by Nikhil Devasar

GREAT TRAVELERS HAVE GREAT STORIES TO TELL

“Now they which were scattered abroad upon the persecution that arose about Stephen traveled as far as Phoenicia, and Cyprus, and Antioch….” (Acts 11:19a)

Those who widely travel usually have interesting experiences to talk about. That is no less true of animals that migrate. A commonly known example is the monarch butterfly. In the fall, monarchs from all over North America head south to the same small patch of jungle trees in Mexico. Even more astonishing is that each generation finds this exact traditional wintering spot but has never been there before.

Bar-tailed Godwit (Limosa lapponica) by Ian

Bar-tailed Godwit (Limosa lapponica) by Ian

Scientists have recently discovered that another migrating creature has an even more interesting story to tell. Bar-tailed Godwits, shorebirds with a wingspan of about 12 to 16 inches, summer in Alaska. But they winter in New Zealand, over 7,000 miles away. As you mentally picture their route, you would be right to notice that there are very few places to stop and rest between Alaska and New Zealand. Researchers outfitted seven female godwits with tracking devices to learn more about their migration. They found that the godwits traveled the distance nonstop, without rest or even food or water. That’s the equivalent of a nonstop flight from London to Los Angeles, plus 1,000 miles more!

Godwits glorify God as Creator with their amazing migratory paths. As the first Christians scattered across the Roman Empire in fear of persecution and martyrdom, they spread the wonder of God’s love for us in the Gospel of salvation.

Prayer:
Father, I thank You for the glory of Your creation, but I rejoice in the wonder of Your love and salvation. Amen.

The Spider That Thinks It’s A Scuba Diver

“Of fowls after their kind, and of cattle after their kind, of every creeping thing of the earth after his kind, two of every sort shall come unto thee, to keep them alive.” Genesis 6:20

Most spiders use their silk to make webs to catch prey. But there’s one spider that spins its silk to make a virtually waterproof sack and fills it with air bubbles so it can survive underwater for hours at a time. In fact, the air-filled sack is so efficient, it allows this air-breathing spider to live virtually its whole life a few inches below the water’s surface.

The Spider That Thinks It's a Scuba Diver

The Spider That Thinks It’s a Scuba Diver

Scientists have known about the diving bell spider for a long time. But a few years ago they discovered that this silken sack is actually able to produce its own air supply. Acting much like a fish’s gills, the finely woven sack draws oxygen from the water while letting nitrogen exit the diving bell.

Evolutionists can’t explain how the spider learned how to scuba dive and produce silk that makes the diving bell virtually waterproof. Oh, they will say what they always say – natural selection and mutations over millions of years. But creationists have no need of such far-fetched explanations.

The Creator showed His fondness for this spider by giving it what it needs to avoid predators above the water while feeding upon underwater creatures. Now, think about how much more our Creator loves each one of us. He gave us the gift of His Son, who lived a sinless life and then died as a spotless sacrifice on our behalf so we would be found holy and blameless in God’s sight through faith in Christ.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for providing such a great gift that cost You so much! I don’t deserve such a gift, but I humbly accept the love You poured out on me through Jesus Christ. Amen.

Ancient Birds Flew Over Dinosaur’ Heads ~ Re-post

ANCIENT BIRDS FLEW OVER DINOSAURS’ HEADS

“And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.” Genesis 1:21

As the fierce T-Rex approaches its prey, the dinosaur is suddenly hit from above with something white that spatters on its upturned head. Yes, it’s the same kind of bird droppings that you’ll find all over your car when you park under the branches of a tree.

Ancient Birds Flew Over Dinosaurs' Heads

Ancient Birds Flew Over Dinosaurs’ Heads

What’s that again? Evolutionists have been telling us that modern-day birds evolved from dinosaurs. The two kinds of animals weren’t around at the same time, they say. But now, a report tells us that one “ancient bird’s intricate arrangement of the muscles and ligaments controlled the main feathers of its wings, supporting the notion that at least some of the most ancient birds performed aerodynamic feats in a fashion similar to those of many living birds.”

Interesting Things from Smiley CentralDr. Luis M. Chiappe, the investigation’s senior scientist, said, “The anatomical match between the muscle network preserved in the fossil and those that characterize the wings of living birds strongly indicates that some of the earliest birds were capable of aerodynamic prowess like many present-day birds.”

Of course, the research team didn’t want people to end up thinking that birds haven’t evolved over the past 125 million years, so they mentioned that the bones of the fossilized bird is “skeletally quite different from their modern counterparts.” In addition, the press release was accompanied with an artist’s rendition of the bird. To preserve the evolutionary story, the drawing shows a bird with an open beak filled with sharp teeth.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, birds and dinosaurs were created just one day apart so they lived at the same time, just as You tell us in the Bible. Thank You for the scientific evidence that is now confirming this to be true. Amen.

Komodo Dragon by Dan

Komodo Dragon by Dan

The beast of the field shall honour me, the dragons and the owls: because I give waters in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my chosen. (Isaiah 43:20 KJV)

And thorns shall come up in her palaces, nettles and brambles in the fortresses thereof: and it shall be an habitation of dragons, and a court for owls. (Isaiah 34:13 KJV) (bolding mine in the verses)

Those verses both have dragons (many creationist also call them dinosaurs) and owls mentioned together in the same verse. Interesting! If the scientist involved weren’t so steeped in their belief of evolution, they might realize how close to the truth they really are.

Esteemed Creationists Defend A Young Earth- Re-post

ESTEEMED CREATIONISTS DEFEND A YOUNG EARTH

Earth from NASA
“Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.” Genesis 2:1-2

_

On our previous Creation Moments program, we told you about several esteemed scientists with advanced degrees who believe in biblical creation. Today I’m going to tell you what some of these scientists – and others – have said about a recent creation.

Search for the Truth

First up is Dr. Russell Humphreys, who holds a Ph.D. in physics. He said that the facts of science “support a recent creation and go strongly against the idea of billions of years which the theistic evolutionists uphold.”

Dr. Danny Faulkner, with a Ph.D. in astronomy, said he believes “the universe is 6,000 to 8,000 years old” and that “we have a very clear indication from scripture that creation took place in six ordinary days.”

Interesting Things from Smiley CentralDr. John Baumgardner, with a Ph.D. in geophysics, said this: “To make sense of the world as the Bible lays it out does not allow for millions of years but does require that there be a catastrophe which destroyed all air-breathing land life except for that preserved on Noah’s ark.”

Finally, with a Ph.D. in chemistry, Dr. Jonathan Sarfati said, “Ninety percent of the methods that have been used to estimate the age of the earth point to an age far less than the billions of years asserted by evolutionists.”

As you can see, each scientist comes from a different scientific discipline, and they all accept the Bible’s account of creation without hesitation. And there are thousands of other scientists in the U.S. and around the world who agree with them!

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I pray that You will remind Your followers that it is not shameful to believe in a recent creation. Indeed, there is no shame in believing everything that You have revealed in Your written word! Amen.

The Amazing Mosquito Hawk Video

Dragonfly cropped by Lee at Circle B

“Does the hawk fly by your wisdom, And spread its wings toward the south?
(Job 39:26 NKJV)

https://youtu.be/C2ebI60gPuA&rel=0

Flight is a big problem for those who believe that we owe our existence to evolution. Birds, mammals, reptiles, insects, and even some fish fly or at least glide through the air in controlled flight. So many different creatures fly that evolutionists must say that flight evolved several different times.

The dragonfly is among the best fliers in the animal kingdom. The dragonfly can beat its four wings in unison or separately depending on the maneuver it wants to make. Dragonflies can fly at speeds up to 25 miles an hour and even faster. They can hover, take off backward and even make an unbanked turn. The dragonfly eats small insects, including mosquitoes, earning it the nickname “mosquito hawk.” A dragonfly can see a gnat from three feet away, fly to it, capture it and return to its original position in just over one second! One third to one half of its body mass is made up of flight muscles. Its two eyes have a total of 60,000 lenses and are situated so that its range of vision is nearly 360 degrees.

Dragonfly by Raymond Barlow

Dragonfly by Raymond Barlow

Dragonflies not only appear in the fossil record fully formed, but in much greater variety than today. One fossilized dragonfly was the size of a crow! Even the United States Air Force has studied the dragonfly to learn how it flies. The dragonfly is no product of natural selection. It is clearly a specially designed creature whose Designer understands flight better than we do. This Designer is our Creator God.

Prayer: I thank You, dear Father, for the beauty and wonder of the dragonfly. You are truly to be glorified! In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Lord’s Avian Wonders – Dipper and a Beluga Whale

Oops! Had to withdraw an article and will re-post it later. For now. This video is amazing. A baby Beluga plays with an American Dipper at the Vancouver Aquarium. When the Creator originally brought the critters into existence they got along fine.

Reminds me of the following passage from Isaiah. That condition will return again in the future. Enjoy!

And the wolf shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid, and the calf and the young lion and the fatted domestic animal together; and a little child shall lead them. And the cow and the bear shall feed side by side, their young shall lie down together, and the lion shall eat straw like the ox. And the sucking child shall play over the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the adder’s den. They shall not hurt or destroy in all My holy mountain, for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea. (Isaiah 11:6-9 AMP)
